Rescuing Veterans Lost in America Dinner
June 17, 2017
Please join Brevard's Constitutional Officers, and NVHS for our 3nd Annual Rescuing Veterans Lost in America Dinner event in Brevard County! Cocktails at 6pm, Dinner at 7pm
Stand Down is an event where the community comes together to serve, offer hope, services, counseling, food, supplies, and a lifeline to veterans living without. This is a one day event where up to 150 veterans gain access to dozens of services all in one location.
This annual event was created to reach out to our homeless veterans at a time where it can be very emotionally painful to be homeless and without loved ones. While most Americans are spending quality time with their families, buying gifts, eating feasts, and enjoying decorating their homes, we have many veterans who fought for our freedom living without. NVHS takes donations all year long to prepare to fund WARM, FULL, SAFE and we put as many veterans (and their families when they are all living homeless) in a hotel for two days. We provide meals, presents of survival gear, and the resources they need to gain employment, or just a light of hope in their journey. Please consider funding WARM, FULL, SAFE in 2017. It is often the event that veterans call the 'turning point' for them.
